A THRONE OF SWANS is definitely an great book to watch out for this coming 2020. Aside from a very unique and intriguing storyline, it has a very interesting and fast paced plot that would keep you at the edge of your seat. In this book there are two classifications of people. The FLIGHTLESS, people who are a normal people and has no special ability to shape-shift and fly. And the SHAPESHIFTERS who has the ability to transform into different kinds of birds that could fly.
The CONS that I find very uninspired with the story are this two things:
INEQUALITY. The very thing that makes this book almost common to some books are the issue of inequality among the division of characters. I have to say you could expect more of the oppression among the flightless and entitlement for the nobles and those who are royals in this book.
FIGHT FOR THE THRONE. There is the very common, political issue in regards to inheriting the throne. Which was a very common point of conflict in every kind book that has this similar plot.
The PROS why I find this book good are this:
UNIQUE World Building. I must say this was the very first book that has the idea of a kingdom which consists of royals and nobles who could shape-shift different kinds of birds. Its a completely a new idea for me. And I find it refreshingly unique.
STRONG FEMALE LEAD CHARACTER being a sucker for strong leads is my weakness. I can say that the main character has her own up and downs in this story but I did find her smart, courageous and brave in-spite of what had happened to her.
AN EQUAL WELL PERSONIFIED CHARACTERS All the supporting characters are well thought. I might say that there is a twist among who are the allies and foes in this book which was a little bit expected for me, but I can’t help but love some of the characters in this book.
