Surprise. Surprise. This book sure knows how to surprise me. I was really shocked on how the book turns out. And I was still shocked right now. And a little bit SAD. *Sigh*

SoI was really excited what this sequel will bring. I find myself curling my toes in anticipation on who Five is. I don't know what to expect, but every time FIVE was being mentioned, I wanted to finish the whole book. And I mean.. FAST! And I never expect the book to end that way. So yeah, it's a damn cliffhanger as well! Argh! This books are killing me.

Well in this book the readers are able to meet FIVE. Well I really don't know what to say. He was kinda' naive. I mean, it seems he was sleeping all his life and he doesn't know who his enemies are. It's kinda weird for me. All are agitated just talking about the Magadorians but FIVE? He's kinda... Cool with it. But I must say his legacy is pretty awesome. The ability to take on the qualities of whatever he's touching. It's kinda unique right? Not until... Nah! Just read it guys.. I don't to spoil anything about it. Hahahah.


As for the Cons: Well what I don't like about this book is the way the story was being narrated. There are moments I need to reread it realizing it wasn't FOUR narrating the story. There is an alternating narration in this book, so it's a little bit confusing at times but still it was an awesome book.

There are some books that fail to amaze me especially if it’s a dystopian plot. This book was surely among the books that surely made my reading enjoyable. When I watched the movie, I regretfully asked myself why I haven’t read it before the movie comes out. With all the feedbacks comparing it to “Hunger Games” made me so skeptical in reading it and I guess I was wrong with my assumption at all. It was indeed a good book after all.

The plot was set in a controlled world where people are being classified according to their most dominant character/behavior; ABNEGATION – the Selfless, ERUDITE – the Intellectual, AMITY – the Peaceful, CANDOR – the Honest and DAUNTLESS – the Brave and Fearless. On the day of Choosing, an aptitude test is made for all sixteen year old to identify which factions they are best to fit to contribute in their society. Instead of having one trait (which they assume as normal), Tris has an inconclusive result of more than two traits that made her life complicated and dangerous, and they call her… DIVERGENT.

I loved how the Author set very brave main characters. Tris and Four are surely a great tandem, although there is a minimal and very light exposure of love interest with the two main characters, the romance is still well plotted. There are also unexpected revelations for the main characters past. A betrayal among allies, and sudden revelations about their families are what the readers should watch out in this book. Set in a world of controversy and greediness for power and influence, this book will surely capture your interest that it will be hard for you to put it down.  Great book!

I think this is the most compelling sequence for this series. I really loved how to story turned out in the end. I was really waiting for the confrontation between Alec and Jace. So I never expected it to be as simple as that, a "brotherly affection". Hahhaha! I almost lost my balance when Jace asked him to kiss him. ^^, 

Anyway, I loved how the characters have evolved in this. All the characters have made an effort to prove their worth and maturity in confronting the challenges. They were so much different than before the story had started. Specifically Simon. I was really not betting for him at all. But I think I in this sequel he totally caught me off guard. He had matured in as very good way. That made me change my mind, so yeah, I think I liked Simon now. And I think he deserved a salute. Hahahha. 

Moving on. This book is totally good. Although it really broke my heart that *** died. But I think it's the secrets, truths and lies that where unravelled that makes this book really GOOD. 

So good that the story ends like I wanted it to be, in such a way I was hoping it was the last one. But NOT... Hahahaha! So hopefully the 4th one won't be such a waste.

The Plot. Elise is really a master in story telling. There are times I felt like my heart just stopped. If you think the first book is intense. This sequel is FIERCER. The world building and the story timeline is flawless as expected, and you wouldn’t find any dull moments. Definitely a page turner just like the first book. One of the good thing about this is that, it doesn't only focuses on the romance side of the story. And just like the first book, It feels like I'm learning the extent of my new found abilities with Vhalla.

Characters.Vhalla, Vhalla, you never fail to amaze me. You have the moments of weakness, but stood up strong and kicked ass inspite of everything. Your scared, but you have the courage to face your enemies head-to-head. Your miserable at times, but you surely finds happiness with the company of people who trusted and accepted you for who you are. She is so real that makes me love her now more than ever. Prince Aldrik. I really enjoyed the soft side of him. He cared so deeply for Vhalla, and I really did not expect it to be this deep. Larel and Fritz, they are the second in my most favorite character in this book. I just love how they accepted and loved Vhalla as their friend. Daniel and Craig. Yes! There back. And they are here.


Exceptional. Spell-binding. A must read for YA fans out there!

I know I'm kinda late. And I know, the fuss about this book has already subsided. But, I think it's better to be late than not to read at all right? Hahha. Anyway, This first volume took me for about 1 month to get through with it. The first hundred pages are boring for me. I was really lost with a lot of characters that I need to remember. But upon the succeeding chapters, It started to capture my interest and imagination.

I really loved Clary's character, She has this side of hers that she can be as hard as stone when she needed to be. Not a typical kind of heroine who's actually a damsel in distress (which I really hate by the way). Although I was waiting for her to learn on how to do the combat moves against the Demons (which never happened YET), I was never disappointed with her.

As for Jace's character, I was really confused about his character sometimes. But as the story goes on, I realized that he actually liked Clary. Not so showy isn't it? Hahahha. Anyway, I think his moves are a little bit cool, and suave. Hahhahaha. :) But I think I was starting to like him instead of Simon.

Oh My! But the ending?! Why did it turns out that the supposed to be lovers, Clary ad Jace are actually SIBLINGS. Which in my part is a major WHAT THE HELL?! Anyway, I'm intrigued to find out how the second sequel will be. I am more than excited to know what will happen. ^^,

Okay. I  really had a hard time finishing this book. The story, for me is a little bit slow, but I won't refrain myself in telling that there are some glimpse of something that may change whatever we thought the story ought to be. I was really intrigued in the Inquisitor's final realization, to bad she died before the readers knew what she was thinking! Oh! And what where her final words to Jace anyway?! I was really left hanging in there. Askimg the same question Jace had asked "What?" Hahhaha!

Anyway, even if the book's story is a little bit slower compared to the pace of 1st book, I still find myself enjoying it. It was a good story for me. It makes me want to finish the 3rd sequel as well. Hahhaha... :)

I’ve been trapped in the body of Lily “Ally” Turner for a month now. Talk about a fashion crisis on an epic scale. What worries me more, though, is sometimes I catch Will looking at me like he thinks I’m Lily...or that he wishes I were. Without the good looks of my former self, I don’t know who I am, or if who that is is good enough. I need out of this mess. Now.

Will and I have been looking for a solution, one that would separate me from Lily without killing her. But it’s not going well. Then, when it seems like things couldn’t get any worse, we run into Misty, my former best friend and boyfriend-stealer extraordinaire, who claims she’s being haunted...by me. Seriously?

I’m determined to get to the bottom of who’s pretending to be the spirit of Alona Dare (while I’m pretending to be someone else) and then get the heck out of this body. Or die trying...

The Goth
I’ll admit it. It’s really weird to look at Alona but see Lily. I do know the difference, though, contrary to what Alona might be saying. And Alona is more than a pretty face to me, not that she would believe that.

Our one lead for some help in this messed up situation might be a page torn from the yellow pages-—the “Psychics” section-—I found in my dad’s stuff. One of the “fakes” seems a bit more real-—and odd-—than the others. Before I can investigate further, though, Alona is off and chasing a ghost that’s probably nothing more than a figment of Misty’s guilty imagination. Now Lily’s family is freaking out because she didn’t come home, my mom is ordering me to stay out of it, and something is definitely wrong with the person formerly known as Lily “Ally” Turner...

I was really happy that this series has only 3 installment. The Ghost and Goth is definitely one of those books that are funny with a little bit humor and Romance packed in 1 story. After reading the second sequel Queen of the Dead, I was already rooting for what ending will it be for the last Sequel. I mean trapped in in the body of Lily Turner, will it really be possible for her to claim the body? I was having a gut feeling that she might die in the end (which is ironically funny because she was obviously dead). Which I think turns out to be contrary to what I expect.

Although this book really oppose my belief about spirits taking over peoples body, I think it was better to just go with the flow. I really loved the ending, and I honestly don't mind if Alona took over Lily's body. I mean if it was really not meant to happen, she should be kicked out right away right? Anyway, the book is totally good. Maybe someday I'll be re-reading it..

First, I never expect this book to be this good. The plot and the pacing of the book is incredible. I didn't even notice that I was almost halfway from the story. That explains a lot on why this book has made its way to reader's TBR lists.

Characters. Well Fletcher is definitely your act-first-before-you-think kind of guy. There are some moments I find him so aggressive that I just wanted to smack him in the head. But what he lacks makes up for his kind attitude. It makes me glad that the author didn't settle for a hero who gets his courage for mistakes he makes in the past. But instead Fletcher is a pure courage. Othello, the dwarf guy, is certainly a character to love for. His relationship with Fletcher makes me smile. There are some characters that are very disappointing in the end. I never saw it coming, maybe that is also the reason why this book has enough to makes you occupied and crave for the next sequel.

Plot. The book has some issues about prejudice, exploitation and class inequality and the author is certainly not above taking a jab or two at the hypocrisy of the ruling classes.

The Ending. Well definitely not a cliffhanger. But it actually ended in a way that you feel like a new journey is about to happen. And well, the answers about everything about Ignatius might be answered in the next sequel.
