Oh God. At this moment. Amy Harmon is officially one of my favorite Authors. I was really amazed on how she can twist and plot the previous scenes in the first book into a new and engaging scenario. The romance so believable that I can't explain how Amy made me believe everything is possible. The characters are so real, the emotional turmoil is so heart felt I can't count how many times I wanted to cry for Maggie and Johnny. It started to mess with my belief of Destiny. And my heart is literally heart broken...

I can't tell more of the details because I wanted the readers to feel the same feeling I felt when reading book.  Secrets are revealed, and the mystery becomes more clear. I started asking myself: "Does it have to be that way?" I was left hanging on what to think of after I finished the book. But that is the catch. No matter how unsatisfied I am with how it ended, I still find myself  loving and adoring this book. This is yet one of those beautiful love story ever written.

This is my first book from Amy Harmon. And I was not disappointed at all. I can't really explain how much this book brought out every emotions in me; happiness, love, distraught, anger, confusion name it, its all in here. The story is so unique that at first I really don't know what this book is really about. And boy, just how the book ended gave me jitters and goosebumps.

At first I thought the story is a typical girl-fell-in-love-with-a-ghost kind of book. But NO. This book is definitely a BLAST. This is one of those rare books that hooked me up with those first 5 paragraphs and its very difficult to put down! It was dark, mysterious, tragic and confusing. I was already starting to ask myself how this book will end. And I am so eager to dive in right away in the middle of the story so I did sneak in some of the chapters. *Grinning*

Really, I can't explain and sort my feelings after reading this book. And can't even explain my eagerness to look for this book in my local bookstore and be added with my collection.

And now I'm really ready to dive in with the second book. I might see myself reading all Amy Harmon's book.

This sequel deserves a solid 5 stars. The storyline had an interesting new plot and interesting new characters that I think will be joining us until the last series of this book. There are sudden death and unexpected event, and I really cried a lot after I read this book. I never expect him to die. Not yet, not now when I was just starting to take notice of how cute his character is. And I swear I really cried with Rose with that sad scene. And I still can’t believe he was dead. *Sigh*

This sequel include Rose first Strigoi kill. And I honestly did not expect it to be that way. I was actually expecting a more badass kill. But I think given with the event, it was more than a revenge why she was able to kill Strigoi’s.

I was actually thinking about Moroi’s combining with Damphirs. Moroi’s have magic, manipulating elements that makes up a good advantage in a fight. And I was really glad that the Author have the same idea as me. I feel like all those powers are not left in to waste. I just love the idea of Moroi’s fighting for themselves and not depending with Damphirs that much. I am really excited which book will have this kind of fighting scenes wherein Morori and Damphirs are all out on war against Strigoi. And I feel so excited! Hell! I wanted to savor that moment when it happens. Hahahahha.


Compared with other Moroi, Lissa has a very rare ablility that no other Moroi has. Now, Adrian being introduced in this book makes the plot more complicated and more thrilling than ever. I was really glad, there is someone who can actually help Lissa to hone her own powers. Yiii! It just makes me more excited for the next book after this!

I really adore Jeaniene Frost. And I just finished reading “This side of the Grave - (Night Huntress #5)”, when I stumble upon Mencheres having his own spin off story. I know a lot of you were also intrigued how is it like for a Master of all Vampires to fall in love, locked in an awful marriage for centuries to his Bitch Ex-wife will he ever find a chance for true love? Time to find out.

Mencheres. Intimidating, Powerful, and Extremely old Vampire. His character was always been clouded with Mystery in the Night Huntress Series. But I think after reading this book, I can say that he was a TOTAL jaw dropper. And Oh! Did I ever mention he was actually Hot? Hahaha. Who would have thought that a thousand year vampire could be this Hot. Not to mention, their smoldering ceiling sex in the book. It really made my day. Hahahha! Hell Yeah! LOL

I enjoyed Kira’s character, I was almost at awe of her similarity with Cat. But Cat’s more fiercer, and Kira is more about having the “Guts”. I just love how she tried to start the game of “FLIRTING” until Mencheres surrenders his emotions and feelings towards Kira. And it wasn’t that long til’ Mencheres fell for it. Although there are times in the first chapter that I was really annoyed with his nobleness toward Kira, being used to Bone’s roughness toward Cat makes him a little bit dull for me. But, I think I was able to accept the gentleness he have for Kira and ruthlessness he had for those who hurt the people who he cared for. So yeah, I started to love his character now. The romance was fast pace, there are no certain tortuous moments. Maybe that is the reason why I just love this book compared to the first spin off novel story of Spade. The character chosen by Jeaniene definitely complemented each other.

“Tell me again what your mentor’s credo was?” He asked, though he remembered her answer before.“Save one Life”, Kira said softly.Menchres drew her into his arms. “You did,” He whispered before his mouth claimed hers. “You saved mine”.

So, what am I thinking right now after this book? After reading the spin off story of Mencheres, I am now wondering if it will be Vlad’s story I should be starting soon. But after searching it in Goodreads, I was sad that the whole trilogy was not yet complete. So I guess I’ll be waiting for the third book to come out. It was really a pain in the ass to read the first 2 books and wait for the last one to come out especially if it’s a damn cliffhanger. *Haha*

I think this is the most compelling sequence for this series. I really loved how to story turned out in the end. I was really waiting for the confrontation between Alec and Jace. So I never expected it to be as simple as that, a "brotherly affection". Hahhaha! I almost lost my balance when Jace asked him to kiss him. ^^, 

Anyway, I loved how the characters have evolved in this. All the characters have made an effort to prove their worth and maturity in confronting the challenges. They were so much different than before the story had started. Specifically Simon. I was really not betting for him at all. But I think I in this sequel he totally caught me off guard. He had matured in as very good way. That made me change my mind, so yeah, I think I liked Simon now. And I think he deserved a salute. Hahahha. 

Moving on. This book is totally good. Although it really broke my heart that *** died. But I think it's the secrets, truths and lies that where unravelled that makes this book really GOOD. 

So good that the story ends like I wanted it to be, in such a way I was hoping it was the last one. But NOT... Hahahaha! So hopefully the 4th one won't be such a waste.

After reading the books “Slammed” and “Point of retreat”, Hoover’s HOPELESS once again takes its place as one of my favorite books for 2013. There are only few books that remain in my memory no matter how many books I read, and this book definitely takes its rightful place as one of the stories that should always be remembered. After so many good reviews and feedbacks, I finally give-in in dropping my next-to-be-read books for this one. And I never regret it. What I absolutely regret is I didn’t place this as first in my reading list for 2013. Yay! Too bad.

Anyway, I am really having a hard time painting the full picture of how amazing and wonderful this book is without giving in the pieces of plot that may destroy the readers’ oblivion. But this book is just full of Secrets. Damn DARK SECRETS. Secrets that start to fit, just like a jigsaw puzzle. I was really blown away with all the revelations that this book had done. Every new discovery, with every pain and loss the characters experience, I never felt more lost. This book totally carried my heart away.

This book is absolutely ONE HELL OF AN AMAZING BOOK!

I know I'm kinda late. And I know, the fuss about this book has already subsided. But, I think it's better to be late than not to read at all right? Hahha. Anyway, This first volume took me for about 1 month to get through with it. The first hundred pages are boring for me. I was really lost with a lot of characters that I need to remember. But upon the succeeding chapters, It started to capture my interest and imagination.

I really loved Clary's character, She has this side of hers that she can be as hard as stone when she needed to be. Not a typical kind of heroine who's actually a damsel in distress (which I really hate by the way). Although I was waiting for her to learn on how to do the combat moves against the Demons (which never happened YET), I was never disappointed with her.

As for Jace's character, I was really confused about his character sometimes. But as the story goes on, I realized that he actually liked Clary. Not so showy isn't it? Hahahha. Anyway, I think his moves are a little bit cool, and suave. Hahhahaha. :) But I think I was starting to like him instead of Simon.

Oh My! But the ending?! Why did it turns out that the supposed to be lovers, Clary ad Jace are actually SIBLINGS. Which in my part is a major WHAT THE HELL?! Anyway, I'm intrigued to find out how the second sequel will be. I am more than excited to know what will happen. ^^,

Okay. I  really had a hard time finishing this book. The story, for me is a little bit slow, but I won't refrain myself in telling that there are some glimpse of something that may change whatever we thought the story ought to be. I was really intrigued in the Inquisitor's final realization, to bad she died before the readers knew what she was thinking! Oh! And what where her final words to Jace anyway?! I was really left hanging in there. Askimg the same question Jace had asked "What?" Hahhaha!

Anyway, even if the book's story is a little bit slower compared to the pace of 1st book, I still find myself enjoying it. It was a good story for me. It makes me want to finish the 3rd sequel as well. Hahhaha... :)

The final book in The Ghost and the Goth Trilogy!

The Ghost
I’ve been trapped in the body of Lily “Ally” Turner for a month now. Talk about a fashion crisis on an epic scale. What worries me more, though, is sometimes I catch Will looking at me like he thinks I’m Lily...or that he wishes I were. Without the good looks of my former self, I don’t know who I am, or if who that is is good enough. I need out of this mess. Now.

Will and I have been looking for a solution, one that would separate me from Lily without killing her. But it’s not going well. Then, when it seems like things couldn’t get any worse, we run into Misty, my former best friend and boyfriend-stealer extraordinaire, who claims she’s being haunted...by me. Seriously?

I’m determined to get to the bottom of who’s pretending to be the spirit of Alona Dare (while I’m pretending to be someone else) and then get the heck out of this body. Or die trying...

The Goth
I’ll admit it. It’s really weird to look at Alona but see Lily. I do know the difference, though, contrary to what Alona might be saying. And Alona is more than a pretty face to me, not that she would believe that.

Our one lead for some help in this messed up situation might be a page torn from the yellow pages-—the “Psychics” section-—I found in my dad’s stuff. One of the “fakes” seems a bit more real-—and odd-—than the others. Before I can investigate further, though, Alona is off and chasing a ghost that’s probably nothing more than a figment of Misty’s guilty imagination. Now Lily’s family is freaking out because she didn’t come home, my mom is ordering me to stay out of it, and something is definitely wrong with the person formerly known as Lily “Ally” Turner...

I was really happy that this series has only 3 installment. The Ghost and Goth is definitely one of those books that are funny with a little bit humor and Romance packed in 1 story. After reading the second sequel Queen of the Dead, I was already rooting for what ending will it be for the last Sequel. I mean trapped in in the body of Lily Turner, will it really be possible for her to claim the body? I was having a gut feeling that she might die in the end (which is ironically funny because she was obviously dead). Which I think turns out to be contrary to what I expect.

Although this book really oppose my belief about spirits taking over peoples body, I think it was better to just go with the flow. I really loved the ending, and I honestly don't mind if Alona took over Lily's body. I mean if it was really not meant to happen, she should be kicked out right away right? Anyway, the book is totally good. Maybe someday I'll be re-reading it..
