My very first book of Nic Stone. And I certainly did enjoy it. It has a great plot and topic about racism, poverty and wealth.
What I like about this book is how the leading characters shares the same values despite their differences in social status. Rico is born from a poor family, while Zan was born from a well off family. Despite their difference, they found a way to connect and learn from each other. And it gives the audience a life lesson, that no matter how rich we are, happiness can’t be bought. It is always with us on how we will find our own happiness and contentment in the end. And no matter how we thought how a person could have everything in life, some people still have their own burden to carry.
