Cass Clereaux has a few problems. Sure, she just saved her whole town and is now immortal, but immortality sucks. The same spell that made her immortal also takes away her magic. It’s kaput. Finito. Gone. Being a FireSoul and finding magical treasure is who she is. Now, she couldn’t find her left leg with a map. Not even if a dragon pointed the way.

To make matters worse, her concealment charm is malfunctioning. Demons are showing up left and right, trying to bring her head back to the Monster who stalks her. While Cass is on the hunt to recover her magic and learn about her past, the specter of the Monster is getting ever closer to his mysterious end goal. She’s prophesied to meet him on the field of battle—but if she doesn’t have her magic back by then, she’s dead.

Ancient Magic features kick butt heroines, a tough hero, and otherworldly adventure. Reviewers have compared it to Jaymin Eve and Illona Andrews.

I received a free advance digital copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank You so much Linsey!!!!

First, I wanted to say thank you to the Author of this book Linsey Hall for always trusting me for the advance copy and giving me the privilege to read her book first. It was really a heart warming feeling if one of your favorite authors trusted you enough with their book.

Okay, what I really admire in this series is that it takes you on a different level of adventure in every installment.  Every book tends to stand out more than the previous one that makes every book better and better than the last. And I could say that this book had surpassed the previous one. Its action-packed since the first chapter. There is also some revelations of what Cass, Nix and Del really are. And makes me more excited that there is a possibility that Del will be having her own story. Yey!

I am really happy that Linsey was able to give its readers a first glimpse of what Cass can really do. But, I must say that after I read this book, I was actually thinking: "What the hell? No, No, No.. I want the next book!" So yes, the book is a little bit a cliffhanger for me, BUT. IN A VERY GOOD WAY. Its like me, looking forward to go back to my favorite Korean Restaurant. Hahahaha. I am literally craving for the next book. If you haven't read this book yet, I think you will be glad to know that finally, Cass was able to find a little bit of her past and what her power she really had that leads to her abduction when she was a kid.

And now, I really wanted to see how Cass will kick some ass after that ending. I am looking forward on how the Firesouls will stop hiding and defend their race to be accepted in the world of magic. It was indeed another book to look forward to in the next coming weeks.
